Building a concept

Our hotel will soon celebrate its 1st anniversary and it is fun to take a little look back.


Getting the privilege of decorating an entire hotel was a fantastic challenge and joy for myself and Alejandra Mårtensson.

But before we could start, the whole family was committed to the fact that we needed to tie the businesses together in some way so that it would not be a newly built hotel and an old, historic inn from 1880, but ONE unit.

After many long evenings, we decided to name the rooms after old professions from the years 1850-1950. Professions that existed in Staffanstorp and the surrounding area and gradually the choice of professions grew and you dear guests also contributed valuable tips.

In this way, we felt that we could weave the businesses together.

But “who” would live where? For us, it was important that no professional category was disadvantaged, but that everyone had the same status. We then based our work on the businesses that have helped Staffanstorp grow – Gästis, Järnvägen and Sockerbruket, which we also named the different floors after. Then we chose the belongings of the characters who would live where we thought they most belonged.

So let the wings of history embrace you when you come to our beautiful and cozy hotel, which opened on May 1, 2021. A warm welcome <3
